Fürth District seeks land for 2031 grammar school expansion
Fürth District is looking for suitable land to support a major new education project. A grammar school in Cadolzburg, set to open in 2031, requires compensation areas for ecological and species protection. Property owners with available land have until Monday, June 1, 2026, to submit their offers.
The district needs agricultural land—either arable or pasture—covering at least 0.5 hectares. Preferred locations include Cadolzburg, Langenzenn, Seukendorf, and nearby areas. The land must not border forests, housing estates, or busy roads, with a minimum 50-metre buffer required.
Partial plots or mixed-ownership sites will also be considered. The district aims to acquire the land outright, though other arrangements may be possible. Properties must be available between autumn 2026 and spring 2027 at the latest. The new grammar school forms part of a wider push to expand educational facilities in the region. With an estimated cost of €71.247 million, the project includes a sports hall alongside the main school buildings. Interested landowners should contact the district’s real estate administration before the deadline.
The search focuses on securing land that meets strict environmental and logistical criteria. Successful offers will help enable the construction of the new school, which is scheduled to welcome students by 2031. Owners with qualifying plots have until early June 2026 to come forward.
