GM's ASCEND Programme Welcomes 25 High-Growth Businesses for 2025–26
GM Business Growth Hub has launched the second cohort of its ASCEND Scale Up Programme. The initiative aims to accelerate the growth of 25 high-potential businesses across Greater Manchester. This year’s programme opened to companies of all sectors for the first time. The nine-month scheme began on 17th June 2025 and will continue until March 2026. Participants will receive tailored mentorship, coworking space access, and industry connections to help their businesses expand. A key highlight includes a trip to Web Summit in Lisbon this November, offering founders global exposure.
The programme is led by Kellie Noon, who brings nearly 15 years of experience in business support. Delivered in partnership with KPMG, ASCEND focuses on rapid scaling and unlocking each founder’s potential. The first cohort, which graduated in June 2025, featured companies like Carrs Pasties and Specscart. ASCEND is designed for ambitious entrepreneurs ready to take their ventures to the next level. Over the coming months, they will work closely with experts to refine strategies and drive sustainable growth.
The second cohort marks a broader reach for the programme, now including businesses from any industry. With structured support and high-profile networking opportunities, participants will spend the next nine months building stronger, more scalable companies. The initiative continues to strengthen Greater Manchester’s reputation as a hub for fast-growing enterprises.
