Duisburg Police: Attempted Robbery in Marxloh – 55-Year-Old Woman Targeted – Witnesses Sought
Knife-Wielding Robber Flees After Confronting Woman in Duisburg

On Thursday morning (March 26, 8:25 AM), an unknown assailant allegedly attempted to rob a 55-year-old woman of her cash on Mittelstraße, near the junction with Krügerstraße.
Shortly after the incident, the victim went to the Marxloh police station and provided a detailed account: According to her statement, she was passing through an archway leading to a garage courtyard when the suspect demanded she hand over her wallet. The man pressed her against a wall and was holding a knife. While he searched her handbag, two children walked past the archway, prompting the assailant to flee in the direction of Krügerstraße.
The suspect is described as approximately 1.75 meters tall, with a dark complexion and a slim build. He was wearing a black hooded jacket, black pants, white sneakers, and a blue face mask.
The Criminal Investigation Department (Kriminalkommissariat 13) has launched an investigation and is appealing for witnesses who may have information about the suspect. Tips can be reported to the police at 0203 2800.
