Komi's Social Contracts Lift 500+ Residents With Targeted State Aid

More than 500 social contracts have been signed in the Republic of Komi since early 2026. The agreements provide targeted financial support to residents in exchange for meeting specific goals. The initiative falls under the national Family project, led by regional head Rostislav Goldstein. The social contract program offers one-time payments to help individuals start businesses or develop personal farms. Those launching a company can receive up to 350,000 rubles, while farmers may qualify for grants of up to 200,000 rubles. Each participant must follow a personalised plan agreed with the state.

So far, 242 residents have signed contracts to secure employment. Another 199 have chosen to start their own businesses, including six veterans of the special military operation. In total, 88 large families and 13 veterans have taken part in the scheme. Veterans receive priority access under the 'entrepreneurial activity' category and do not need income verification. To join, they must register with the employment service and obtain a referral from the *Defenders of the Fatherland* State Fund.

The program continues to expand, with hundreds already benefiting from financial aid and support. Veterans and large families remain key focus groups, receiving tailored assistance to improve their economic stability. The regional government plans to monitor progress as more contracts are signed.
