Latvian 'Date Box' Helps Busy Couples Reconnect with Themed Nights
A Latvian entrepreneur has come up with a simple way to help busy couples reconnect. Kate Rudzinska-Bērziņa created a monthly ‘date box’ after she and her husband struggled to find time for each other. The idea has now caught the attention of business experts who see its potential. Rudzinska-Bērziņa and her husband faced a common problem: long work hours left little room for quality time. Their solution was a box delivered each month, packed with everything needed for a full date night at home. Inside, couples find a Spotify playlist, games, and themed activities designed to bring them closer.
The concept quickly gained support from the Creative Industries Incubator of LIAA. Experts there believe the idea could grow beyond Latvia, with strong export possibilities. Simona Ozoliņa-Ugore, a creative industries specialist, highlighted the social benefits of the project. She noted how it could strengthen relationships in an era where many couples juggle demanding careers. While the business is not yet turning a profit, its appeal is clear. Rudzinska-Bērziņa’s goal is straightforward: to help as many couples as possible spend meaningful time together.
The date box offers a practical answer to a modern challenge. With backing from industry experts, the idea may soon reach couples far beyond Latvia. For now, it provides a simple way to keep relationships strong—one themed evening at a time.
