Man smashes train window with emergency hammer at Fallersleben station
A 28-year-old man from Magdeburg caused disruption at Fallersleben station last Wednesday evening. He smashed a train window with an emergency hammer just as the regional service was about to depart. The incident left the man injured and led to police intervention. The trouble began when the man used an emergency hammer to break a window on the train. The glass shattered, and both the pane and the man fell onto the platform below. He suffered minor injuries in the fall.
Police arrived quickly and found him in a state of severe psychological distress. Officers tried to question him, but he remained unresponsive and attempted to run away. They restrained him in handcuffs before taking him to a local police station. From there, he was transported to Wolfsburg Hospital for further treatment of his injuries.
The man’s actions caused damage to the train and disrupted services at Fallersleben station. Authorities handled the situation by detaining him and ensuring he received medical care. The incident remains under investigation.
