New Pre-Incubation Program Turns Student Ideas Into Startups
A new pre-incubation programme is helping students turn ideas into early-stage businesses. Open to individuals or teams, the initiative supports innovation by offering mentorship, funding, and access to advanced equipment.
The programme focuses on guiding students through the early steps of entrepreneurship. Workshops cover idea validation, market research, and business model development. Participants also learn about creating a minimum viable product, marketing strategies, and presentation techniques.
Regular mentoring sessions are provided by experienced entrepreneurs and industry experts. Students can use the University of Ljubljana’s facilities, including 3D printers and laser cutters, to build prototypes. Financial support is available for implementing ideas, and some participants may receive a monthly scholarship. To join, at least one team member must be enrolled in a higher education or professional study programme. The best-performing teams are later invited to advance their projects in the university’s incubation programme.
The initiative aims to strengthen student entrepreneurship by offering practical skills and resources. Successful participants will have the opportunity to further develop their ideas with continued support. The programme bridges the gap between education and real-world business creation.
