Osnabrück bus services disrupted by Verdi union strikes this weekend
Bus services in Osnabrück face major disruptions this Friday and Saturday. The Verdi trade union has called warning strikes, halting many routes across the city. However, some services will continue to run as normal. The strike will bring the entire MetroBus network to a standstill on both days. Night bus services will also see cancellations, leaving fewer late-night options for travellers.
City bus lines 10 through 21 should operate mostly as usual. These routes are run by private contractors, so they remain unaffected by the industrial action. SWO Mobil has urged passengers to use these lines where possible.
Outside the city, the VOS regional network across Osnabrück district will keep running. No changes are expected for these services. Passengers can find the latest updates on urban bus services at www.vos.info or via the VOSpilot mobility app. The strike will impact travel plans, but alternative options remain available for those needing to get around.
