Police hunt for suspect after sexual assault in Halle's nightlife district
Sexual Assault Reported in Halle (Saale) Early Saturday Morning
Between 1:00 and 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, a German woman was the victim of a sexual assault in Brüderstraße, Halle (Saale).
According to initial findings, the woman was first approached by an unknown man near Große Ulrichstraße and Große Nikolaistraße. Against her will, she was then dragged along Große Steinstraße and Neuhäuser Straße before being taken to Brüderstraße, where she was sexually assaulted and threatened. The perpetrator fled the scene via Marktplatz, heading toward Große Ulrichstraße.
The suspect is described as follows: a man, approximately 20 years old, around 170 cm tall, slim build, with black hair, a three-day stubble, and a southern appearance. He spoke broken German and was wearing a black baseball cap (worn backward), a black jacket, black jogging pants with white detailing, and black shoes. He also had a tattoo on his right arm with vertical lettering.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the areas of Große Ulrichstraße, Große Nikolaistraße, or Brüderstraße during the night—or who has information about the suspect—to contact them at +49 345 224 2000.
