Primorsky Ski Resort Expands with New Hotels and Slopes by 2027
The Primorsky ski resort in Arsenyev is expanding rapidly, with new hotels, slopes, and facilities set to open soon. Backed by state funding, the project aims to boost tourism and extend the region's winter sports season. Officials report strong visitor numbers and well-maintained slopes this year.
The resort operates under a Far Eastern concession agreement within the Mikhailovsky Advanced Development Territory. Its growth is part of Arsenyev's long-term master plan, with oversight from Sergey Skaliy, deputy director general of the Corporation for Far Eastern Development (KRDV).
By the 2026/2027 season, two new hotels will add 400 rooms and 1,200 apartments to the area. Before then, upgrades include insulated chairlifts, expanded trails, and a new hotel. The resort is also preparing to open at full capacity next season, offering restaurants, shops, a children's club, parking, a wellness centre, and slopes for all skill levels.
Oleg Kozhemyako, the regional governor, recently inspected the slopes and confirmed their excellent condition. Thanks to heavy snowfall, the ski season has been extended until 22 March. So far, the resort has welcomed 35,000 visitors this winter.
The expansion will increase accommodation and improve facilities for skiers and tourists. With ongoing state support and rising visitor numbers, the resort is set to become a major winter destination in the Far East. The extended season and new infrastructure aim to attract even more guests in the coming years.
