Sverdlovsk Region honors eight professionals for outstanding achievements on May Day
Eight residents of Sverdlovsk Region were recognised for their professional achievements at a formal ceremony on May Day. Governor Denis Pasler presented the awards, honouring individuals from education, industry, agriculture, and aviation.
The event highlighted contributions across different fields. In education, Svetlana Ryabina, a teacher at School No. 31 in Yekaterinburg, received the Governor’s Letter of Appreciation. Yelena Shershneva, deputy head of Kindergarten No. 17 in Berezovsky, was also awarded the same honour for her work in early childhood education.
Industrial workers were among the most decorated. Yury Makhonin, head of the heating furnace section at EVRAZ NTMK, earned the Labor Valor of the Urals badge. His colleagues Nikolai Lyubovetsev and Vadim Vichkanov, both from M.I. Kalinin Machine-Building Plant, received the same distinction for their roles as a lathe borer and CNC machine operator, respectively. Other recipients included Alexei Yadryshnikov, chief specialist at the Talitsa District Agricultural Office, who was given the Governor’s Certificate of Honor. Andrey Koromyslov, a senior engineer at Ural Federal University, and Valery Trifonov, an airfield operations engineer at Koltsovo Airport, also received the Certificate of Honor for their dedication.
The ceremony celebrated the efforts of professionals who have made a tangible impact in their fields. Each awardee was acknowledged for their commitment, with distinctions ranging from letters of appreciation to regional badges of honour.
