The local fire department looks back on a very special day with immense pride and joy: Today, March 27, 2026, seven aspiring fire officers were honored in a ceremonial setting, receiving their promotion certificates from Fire Chief Markus Feier. With this milestone, they have successfully completed a key phase of their training and are now officially part of the operational team. "Nothing is more rewarding than celebrating success as a team—especially when it comes to training," Markus Feier emphasized during the formal presentation. The newly qualified fire officers will immediately reinforce the team, bringing fresh expertise and unwavering dedication to daily operations. The entire Ratingen Fire Department eagerly anticipates seeing how these colleagues will prove their skills in real-world missions.
But the good news doesn't end there: Four more team members have another major achievement to celebrate. After two and a half years of rigorous, hands-on training, they have passed their emergency paramedic exams with flying colors. This demanding qualification is the result of tireless effort and remarkable perseverance. The fire department extends its warmest congratulations to all graduates for their outstanding accomplishments and looks forward to working alongside them in the years ahead. Heartfelt thanks also go to every instructor—both in emergency medical services and fire protection—whose expertise and commitment were instrumental in making these successes possible.
