Simone Stribl to Host ORF's Summer Talks 2026 with Austria's Party Leaders
ORF has announced that journalist Simone Stribl will host the Summer Talks 2026. The series will feature one-on-one interviews with the leaders of all parliamentary parties in Austria. Discussions begin on August 10 and will take place on the Studio 2 terrace at ORF's Mediencampus on Küniglberg Hill.
Born in Upper Austria, Stribl started her career in 2008 with ORF's investigative programme Report. She later hosted the Summer Talks in 2020 and holds a degree in journalism and media management from FH Wien.
The 2026 edition will air every Monday from August 10 to September 7 at 9:05 p.m. on ORF 2 and ORF ON. Johannes Bruckenberger, ORF's Editor-in-Chief, highlighted Stribl's deep grasp of domestic politics and her skill in making complex issues clear to viewers. Stribl herself described the mission of the talks as asking critical questions that reflect the concerns of the public. Each session will provide party leaders with a platform to address key topics ahead of the political season.
The interviews will run for five consecutive weeks, offering voters a chance to hear directly from parliamentary leaders. ORF's Mediencampus terrace will serve as the backdrop for the live discussions, which aim to foster transparency and public engagement.
