Simply Business Launches £5K Grants to Fuel 10,000 Entrepreneurs by 2030

Simply Business has launched The Big Dreams Project, a new initiative to help 10,000 entrepreneurs start or grow their businesses by 2030. The scheme will provide funding, training, and volunteer support to small-business owners across the UK. Group CEO David Summers has highlighted the project’s role in turning entrepreneurial ambitions into reality. The Big Dreams Project will offer a mix of cash grants, business training, and hands-on support. Entrepreneurs aged 18 to 30 can apply for £5,000 grants through the Young Entrepreneur Fund. Partnerships with organisations like Epic Futures will also help over 50 disadvantaged young people in Northampton develop skills and launch businesses.

Simply Business will run an annual 'impact week', giving employees time to volunteer with small businesses and charities. The company is also piloting an entrepreneurial skills programme for students in London, working with Ada College. Alongside these efforts, Simply Business will continue researching challenges faced by small firms, building on reports like the *Generation Entrepreneur* study. Small and midsize enterprises already employ over half of the UK’s private sector workforce and generate £2.8 trillion in turnover each year. The project aims to strengthen this sector by removing common barriers to growth.

The Big Dreams Project combines funding, training, and volunteer work to back entrepreneurs nationwide. With partnerships spanning education, research, and direct grants, the initiative targets both new and established business owners. The goal is clear: support 10,000 entrepreneurs in turning their ideas into successful ventures by the end of the decade.
