18-Year-Old Ex-Con Steals Car Stereo After Owner Leaves Door Unlocked
Teen with criminal record arrested for stealing from unlocked car in Arzamas
A previously convicted 18-year-old man stole a car stereo and 1,000 rubles from a vehicle in Arzamas after the owner forgot to lock the passenger door, according to the Russian Interior Ministry's regional directorate for Nizhny Novgorod Oblast.
The total damage amounted to 11,000 rubles.
Police quickly apprehended the suspect, an 18-year-old Arzamas resident with a prior criminal record, who had already sold the stolen stereo.
A criminal case has been opened.
