A 26-year-old Bulgarian man has been arrested in Düsseldorf after breaking into a car on Klosterstraße. Police recovered stolen items from the vehicle and later placed the suspect in remand custody following a swift judicial decision. The incident began when an officer alerted Düsseldorf police headquarters about a suspicious individual. A patrol unit quickly intercepted the man, searched him, and took him into custody. Officers kept him under constant watch until they reached Konrad-Adenauer-Platz.
During questioning, the suspect admitted to breaking into the car on Klosterstraße. The stolen goods were found inside the damaged vehicle. The Düsseldorf public prosecutor’s office then requested an urgent hearing.
An investigating judge reviewed the case under an expedited procedure. The decision was made to hold the suspect in remand custody while the investigation continues. The 26-year-old now remains in custody as authorities examine the evidence. The recovered items will be returned to their owners once the legal process is complete. Police have not ruled out further charges as the case develops.
