Two-Day Strike Halts All ÜSTRA Buses and Trams Next Week

Public transport in the region will face major disruptions next week. The ver.di trade union has called a two-day strike, affecting ÜSTRA bus and tram services on May 20 and 21. Passengers are being advised to plan ahead and find alternative ways to travel. The strike will bring all ÜSTRA and regiobus routes to a complete standstill. No buses or trams will operate from the first to the last service on both days. School transport will also be impacted, leaving students without their usual travel options.

Some regiobus routes may still see limited service, provided by subcontractors. The *sprinti* shuttle service will continue running, though minor delays could occur in certain areas. Meanwhile, the *sprintRad* bike-sharing system remains fully available for those needing another way to get around. Not all transport will be affected. S-Bahn commuter rail and regional train services will run as normal. ÜSTRA has encouraged passengers to use these alternatives where possible. For further details, the ÜSTRA press office is open to answer questions.

The strike means no ÜSTRA buses or trams will run on May 20 and 21. Travellers must rely on bikes, shuttles, or trains to reach their destinations. Schools and commuters have been warned to prepare for significant changes to their usual routes.
