Bergisch Gladbach residents unite to transform their city through cleanliness
A new community initiative in Bergisch Gladbach is working to make the city cleaner and more attractive. Around 20 local residents recently met to discuss ways of improving their living space through shared responsibility. Their goal is simple: to help the city 'shine' through collective effort. The meeting brought together engaged citizens eager to tackle cleanliness and environmental issues. They explored ideas for networking, organising community clean-ups, and raising awareness. Sponsorships and partnerships were also discussed as ways to support the project.
A core team was formed to coordinate the next steps. Their first task will be to set clear priorities and plan regular actions. These efforts aim to create visible results, encourage more people to get involved, and establish role models for environmental care. The initiative plans to start with small, accessible activities. Existing neighbourhood projects will be included to build momentum. Organisers stressed that everyone can contribute, no matter how small their effort may seem.
The group concluded that individual actions add up to a bigger impact. Future plans include ongoing campaigns to keep Bergisch Gladbach tidy and inviting. All residents are invited to join and help shape the city’s future.
