Virtual trading champs win €3,625 in prizes and a theme park trip

A virtual trading competition has awarded €3,625 in prize money to the top ten teams. The winners were celebrated at a ceremony before heading to Movie Park in Bottrop-Kirchhellen for a day out.

The first-place team, ColienundAmelie, turned an initial €50,000 into a profit of over €16,000, securing the top spot in the competition.

The savings bank handed out cash prizes to the leading teams. ColienundAmelie took home €500 each, while the second-place team, Die Türkinnen, received €400 per member. Galatasaray1905, in third place, earned €300 each.

In the sustainable securities trading category, the top three teams were also rewarded. They collected €500, €400, and €300 respectively. After the awards, game coordinator Lena Kempken congratulated the winners. The group then boarded a coach for a trip to Movie Park. Accompanying them were Lena Kempken, Vanessa Schmeck, and vocational school teacher Kai Breßer.

The competition recognised the top ten teams with certificates and cash prizes. The total prize fund of €3,625 was distributed among the winners. Following the ceremony, the participants enjoyed a day out at the theme park.
