Time Capsules Buried at Construction Sites of Two New Schools in Volodarsky District

Volodarsky District builds two modern schools to meet growing demand

Gleb Nikitin, Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Region, announced the development.

The new general education school is designed to accommodate up to 500 students. The second facility—a children's art school—will serve 150 pupils.

The construction of the new educational center will allow students from two buildings of School No. 1 to relocate. Children will move into spacious, modern classrooms that meet all current standards.

Special emphasis is being placed on creating an accessible environment for students with disabilities. The project is tied to the district's growing population, driven by the expansion of the light industry sector in Volodarsky. The school is being built under the Comprehensive Rural Development program.

The Volodarsky Children's Art School project is part of the Family national initiative. The district will gain a purpose-built facility designed specifically for the arts—not an adapted space. The school will feature dedicated studios for music, visual arts, and choreography, as well as a full-fledged concert hall.

Earlier, Pravda-NN reported that five kindergartens are under construction in Nizhny Novgorod.
