Waste disposal changes in April–May 2026: Key dates to know
Wolfenbüttel Due to short-notice asphalt works in the entrance area and on access roads, the Weferlingen waste disposal site will be closed to small-scale deliveries from Monday, April 27, to Saturday, May 9, 2026, the Wolfenbüttel district administration has announced.
From Monday, May 4, to Saturday, May 9, 2026, the site will be completely closed to all deliveries. The Klein Elbe recycling center will remain shut on Saturday, May 2, 2026, but will instead open on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Hazardous Waste Mobile Rescheduled
The hazardous waste collection service will not operate on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, as originally planned. Instead, it will be available one week later, on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Weferlingen.
