WDR App relaunches with sharper focus on North Rhine-Westphalia news
West German Broadcasting (WDR) has given its online presence a comprehensive overhaul—both in content and design. A significant portion of WDR's web pages now features the new layout, including regional news and reports from North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), as well as coverage of politics, sports, culture, leisure, and business. The former WDR aktuell app has also been revamped and rebranded as the WDR App. With this relaunch, news and stories from NRW take center stage. The home screen now displays more top stories in a clear, stacked format. Users can also personalize the app by subscribing to specific regions and topics of interest, as well as opting in for targeted push notifications. The My NRW section has been streamlined for better clarity, while the number of push alerts has been reduced.
The 3.0 update is available now in the iTunes App Store and Google Play Store. If it isn't yet compatible with your device, you'll receive a notification as soon as it is. Further details about the update can be found below or on WDR's website.
