Wiesbaden's Cultural Council election kicks off with 42 diverse nominees
Wiesbaden Residents Invited to Vote in Online Election for Cultural Council
Residents of Wiesbaden aged 16 and older had until Friday, April 24, to apply for a seat on the city's Cultural Council—alongside individuals who do not live in Wiesbaden but are actively engaged in cultural work there.
The Cultural Council office has confirmed receipt of 42 eligible nominations. These candidates are vying for seven seats representing specific cultural disciplines and six at-large positions. For the first time, Wiesbaden residents aged 16 and up will be able to cast their votes online from Wednesday, May 27, through Tuesday, June 23, at 4:00 p.m. Access credentials for the online ballot can be requested starting Wednesday, May 27.
The nominees for the 2026 Cultural Council election are:
- Visual Arts: Lavinia Baumstark, Titus Grab, Ralf Haberich, Sabine Schuchart, Dr. Christa Sturm
- Performing Arts: Micki Bertling, Susanne Müller, Elena O'Connor
- Film, Photography, and Digital Media: Nadine Tannreuther, Andrea Wink
- Cultural Heritage, Local History, and Traditions: Dr. Tanja Bernsau, Philipp Grillich, Ann-Kathrin Hartenbach, Harald Kuntze
- Literature: Alexander Pfeiffer
- Music: Clemens Bosselmann, Saskia Osterhold, Peter Reese, Sabine Schulz, Christian Strauß, Danilo Tepsa, Jan-Filip Tupa
