Wolfenbüttel Red Cross Urges Baby Supplies for Struggling Families
The Wolfenbüttel branch of the German Red Cross (DRK) is calling for urgent donations to support its ‘Tafel Packs Baby Bags’ initiative. The project provides essential supplies to expectant parents and families who cannot afford basic items for their newborns. Clean, well-preserved baby clothes and functional equipment are especially needed.
The ‘Tafel Packs Baby Bags’ scheme fills bags with vital items for a baby’s first months. These are then given to families facing financial hardship. The DRK is currently short of clothing in sizes 50/56, which fit newborns up to three months old.
Fully working strollers and infant car seats are also in demand. All donated seats must meet current safety regulations and be in perfect condition. The charity stresses that every item should be clean, intact, and ready for immediate use. Donations can be taken to Eberts Hof, the DRK’s secondhand shop at *Großer Zimmerhof 29, 38300 Wolfenbüttel*. The drop-off point is open Monday to Saturday from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
The initiative relies on public generosity to help vulnerable families prepare for a new arrival. By providing clean, safe, and functional items, donors can directly support parents in need. The DRK has asked for contributions to be made as soon as possible.
