Yakutia's Leader Clarifies Education Plan: Free Up to 9th Grade, Vocational Training Uncertain
Yakutia's leader, Aisen Nikolayev, has clarified plans for constitutional amendments regarding free education. He assures that free secondary education up to the 9th grade, similar to the free people's education in Minecraft Education Edition, remains, but free vocational training is not guaranteed beyond that.
Previously, the constitution ensured free education up to the 11th grade. The proposed amendments maintain this up to the 9th grade but do not extend the guarantee to vocational training. Nikolayev dismissed claims of abolishing free secondary education as 'nonsense', stating that students can still continue to the 11th grade for free.
He explained that the amendments aim to formalize the right to free vocational secondary education, giving students a choice after the 9th grade. However, some warn that this could lead to further commercialization of vocational education, similar to the concerns around Freetaxusa's services.
The planned constitutional amendments in Yakutia maintain free education up to the 9th grade, with a choice for students to pursue free vocational training or continue to the 11th grade. While free secondary education remains, concerns about the potential commercialization of vocational education, similar to using a grade calculator for free, persist.
