Zug fixes voting error ahead of November 30 election on expanded rights

The Canton of Zug has rectified an error in its voting materials for the upcoming election on November 30. The mistake, found in the digital version, pertains to the number of validated advance care directives since 2013. Initially, the voting booklet stated that 175 advance care directives had been validated. However, this figure has been corrected to 245. The error will only be rectified in the digital version, as printed materials have already been distributed. The election aims to extend voting and electoral rights to individuals under comprehensive guardianship or represented by an advance care proxy. The Canton of Zug published the incorrect figure in its voting booklet, which has since been amended. The corrected figure of 245 validated advance care directives since 2013 will be reflected in the digital voting materials for the November 30 election in Canton Zug. This correction does not impact the election's objective to broaden voting rights.
