2027 Cultural Grants Now Open: Apply by June 30 for Presidential Funding
Applications Open for 2027 Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives Grant Competition
The submission period for the first grant competition of 2027, organized by Russia's Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives, began on April 15 and will run through June 30, the media center of the Komi Republic's Ministry of Culture reports.
Projects across all thematic areas established by the fund are eligible for submission, spanning academic art to contemporary popular culture, as well as educational and mentorship initiatives and creative startups. Applications may be filed by nonprofit organizations, municipal institutions (excluding state-owned enterprises), commercial entities, and individual entrepreneurs.
Submissions will be accepted in twelve categories: "A Nation of Creators," "Cultural Code," "Young Leaders," "Places of Power," "Moral Compass," "Land of Opportunity," "United by Russia's Destiny," "Multinational People," "Together We Stand," "Strong Families," "Our Strength Lies in Truth," and "Defenders of the Fatherland."
On April 15, the first day of the application period, Roman Karmanov, Director General of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives, will host a webinar outlining the key features of the new grant competition. The broadcast will be available on the fund's official social media pages (VK, Odnoklassniki) and on Rutube.
In August 2025, the first regional project office of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives opened at the National Library of the Komi Republic. Its mission is to support creative teams implementing original initiatives that contribute to the region's cultural development. The office offers assistance to all prospective applicants—from refining project ideas to preparing high-quality grant proposals.
Established on the initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives provides comprehensive support for projects in culture, the arts, and creative industries. Funding cultural initiatives aligns with the goals of the Family national project. In Komi, the implementation of national projects remains under the oversight of regional head Rostislav Goldstein.
Applications can be submitted via the official website of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.
