Fulda District strengthens rural care support with new advisory network
A meeting in Hilders brought together local officials and care advisors to discuss improving support services in rural Fulda District. The session focused on a state-funded project aimed at enhancing information and counselling for residents in need of care. Among the attendees were Mayor Ronny Günkel, Marie Vey, Lorena Büttner, Christina Marg, and Paula Müller. The gathering was part of a broader initiative backed by the state of Hesse. Its purpose is to create a decentralised advisory network that links local care and support systems more effectively. Representatives from the Care Support Center, a joint body of statutory long-term care and health insurance providers, shared details about their services for individuals requiring care and their families.
Christina Marg and Paula Müller presented information on upcoming events and foundational resources, distributing flyers to the group. The project also seeks to deepen cooperation with family centres and municipal authorities. By doing so, organisers hope to ensure better access to guidance in Fulda’s rural communities.
The discussions in Hilders highlighted the need for stronger connections between care providers and local networks. The project’s next steps will involve expanding advisory services across the district. Officials and advisors plan to continue working together to implement the new system in the coming months.
