21-Year-Old Stabbed in Violent Berlin Robbery Involving Machete Attack
A 21-year-old man was stabbed in the back during a violent robbery in Tempelhof on Tuesday afternoon. The attack happened around 4 p.m. at the corner of Alt-Tempelhof and Neue Straße. Police are now investigating the incident as part of a broader assault involving multiple assailants. The robbery began when the victim met an acquaintance to sell gold coins. During the exchange, the suspect suddenly struck the 21-year-old in the face, sparking a scuffle. As the victim tried to escape, two more attackers appeared—one armed with a machete.
The 21-year-old was slashed with the machete while fleeing, suffering a back injury. Despite the wound, he managed to reach the 44th Police Precinct on Götzstraße, where officers provided first aid. He was later taken to a hospital for further treatment. The Criminal Investigation Division of Directorate 4 (South) has taken over the case. Authorities are now working to identify the suspects involved in the attack.
The victim remains under medical care following the assault. Police continue their search for the three assailants, including the one who wielded the machete. The investigation into the robbery and violent attack is ongoing.
