79-Year-Old Woman with Dementia Vanishes from Sports Club on Holy Saturday
A 79-year-old woman with dementia has gone missing after disappearing from a sports club on Holy Saturday. Authorities have conducted large-scale searches but have so far found no trace of her. The woman was last seen at the TSV Groß Flöthe sports club, where she left unnoticed. She is described as physically fit, around 1.65 metres tall, with reddish shoulder-length hair. At the time of her disappearance, she wore dark blue jeans, a black jacket, and black shoes.
Search teams used helicopters, drones, mounted units, and mantrailing dogs to cover the area. Police and local fire brigades joined the effort, but no clues were found. The operation has now been suspended unless new information comes to light.
In a separate case, an 86-year-old man reported missing in Sickte was later found safe. However, time remains a pressing concern in the current search, as risks like hypothermia and dehydration grow with each passing hour. The search for the missing woman has paused for now, with no further operations planned. Authorities continue to urge anyone with information to come forward. The case highlights the urgency of locating vulnerable individuals quickly.
