Berlin jewellery store hit by audacious overnight ram-raid burglary
Case No. 1592
Alert residents called police to Prenzlauer Berg overnight after a break-in at a jewelry store. At around 2:50 a.m., unknown suspects rammed a car into the shop, located inside a shopping center on Greifswalder Straße, gaining entry. Once inside, they smashed display cases and stole jewelry. The perpetrators fled the shopping center on foot, dropping part of the loot along the way. Police recovered the abandoned stolen goods as well as the vehicle used in the break-in. The suspects are believed to have escaped in a second car parked nearby. A specialized investigative unit from Police Directorate 1 (North) is leading the case.
