Berlin man's violent rampage after job loss leaves officer injured
A 20-year-old man in Berlin-Neukölln went on a rampage after losing his job at a cleaning company. The incident began with threats to his former boss and escalated into a series of aggressive acts across the neighbourhood. The man was first dismissed from his position at a cleaning firm in Rudow. Shortly after, he confronted his boss, threatened him, and stole a canister of liquid soap. He then entered a private garden before moving to a nearby café, where he distributed the soap and behaved aggressively toward a customer.
Outside, he hurled the canister at a passing car but missed. When police arrived, he resisted arrest and had to be subdued by multiple officers. During the struggle, he kicked one officer in the leg, causing bruising and contusions. Even after being detained, he continued to threaten further offences. He was later brought before a judge, who ordered him to be held in custody until the following morning.
The man now faces potential charges for theft, assault, and resisting arrest. His actions left one officer injured and disrupted public order in the area. The police investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
