Man Detained After Knife Threats and Assault at Munich Train Station
A 40-year-old man has been detained by federal police at Taufkirchen station, near Munich. The arrest follows a series of violent incidents, including threats with a knife and an assault on a teenage girl. Authorities are now investigating multiple charges against the suspect.
The trouble began aboard an S3 line train, where the man threw a glass bottle at another passenger. After arriving at Taufkirchen station, he became involved in a heated argument with a 24-year-old man. The dispute quickly turned physical, and the suspect pulled out a knife, threatening his opponent.
Police intervened and searched the suspect, finding a knife in his jacket pocket. During the operation, he insulted and threatened officers. Further investigation revealed he had earlier approached a 16-year-old girl on the platform, embracing and kissing her against her will. Federal police are treating the case as aggravated assault, threats, and sexual harassment. Video footage from the station is being reviewed as part of the ongoing inquiry.
