Berlin Police Rescue Lost Ducklings and Kittens
BERLIN (dpa/bb) — The Berlin police have stepped in as saviors for ducklings and kittens in need. In Spandau, officers rescued two ducklings from a balcony and safely returned them to their mother, as reported on the force's Facebook page. A photo showed a gloved officer cradling one of the chicks. The post concluded with a playful sign-off: "Happy EnT."
Meanwhile, in Treptow, police arrested a suspect and discovered a cat with several kittens in the apartment. "It quickly became clear: the animals couldn't just be left behind," authorities said. The feline family was temporarily taken to the police station, where photos showed them surprisingly at ease on a desk. Ultimately, a solution was found—all the cats are now in good hands and receiving proper care.
