Cyprus shines as Mediterranean innovation hub at The Ventures Award finale

Cyprus hosted the final of The Ventures Award on September 23 at The Warehouse by IT Quarter. The event showcased the island’s growing reputation as a Mediterranean hub for innovation. Local startups pitched their ideas to international investors and corporate leaders in a high-energy competition. Five startups took home awards across different categories. LearnLink, an AI-driven tutoring marketplace, claimed the title of Best AI Model. Naoma, which developed a live AI agent for B2B demo calls, was named Best Team.

Cardoo, a platform offering instant digital guarantees for car rental deposits, won Best Traction. Complytek, an anti-money laundering (AML) compliance solution, secured Best Product. Meanwhile, Balancy, a LiveOps engine designed for game studios, received the Special Award '4dev.com Global Office'.

The event also featured the launch of a 2025 contractor market report, a collaboration between 4dev.com and The Ventures. R136 Ventures served as the General Partner for the Cyprus edition, reinforcing the island’s appeal to entrepreneurs and investors. The Ventures Award highlighted Cyprus as a rising centre for startups in the region. The winning teams now gain visibility and potential funding opportunities. The competition’s success signals further growth for the island’s tech and business communities.
