Omsk Launches Accelerator to Fuel Young Entrepreneurs' Production Ideas

A new accelerator programme for young entrepreneurs will run in Omsk from 27 October to 1 November 2023. The initiative, part of a nationwide push to support youth entrepreneurship, offers Russians aged 18 to 35 a chance to develop their business ideas with backing from major companies. Registration is now open for those focusing on production across different industries. The accelerator is organised under the All-Russian youth entrepreneurship development programme and the national project Kadry. Leading Russian firms have partnered with the scheme to provide mentorship and funding opportunities.

Previous participants have already seen success. In Volgograd, 37 social initiatives were developed during the accelerator, with three projects securing grants totalling 2 million rubles. Among the winners, Daniil Bredikhin from the Orel region earned Rosatom funding for his *Smart Sticker* project, designed to aid navigation for visually impaired individuals. Pavel Antipov, from Kaliningrad, also received Rosatom support for an AI agent aimed at managing administration and infrastructure in monocities. Other standout projects include Anastasia Vetkova’s rehabilitation platform for participants in special military operations, which gained backing from *Cyber Motorika* after her time in the accelerator. Meanwhile, Gleb Simdyankin, a programmer from Smolensk, created the UPM system to improve motorcycle safety and now plans to apply for grant funding following the programme.

The Omsk accelerator will focus on production-related ventures, offering participants access to resources and potential investment. Successful applicants will join a growing list of young entrepreneurs who have turned their ideas into funded projects through the programme. Registration remains open for those looking to take part in the upcoming session.
