Elderly man robbed in broad daylight on Duisburg street
Duisburg — Two unknown assailants robbed an elderly man on the morning of Wednesday, February 18. At around 10:55 a.m., the pair attacked the victim as he walked toward his garage on Kalkumer Straße, knocking him to the ground and pinning him down. After the assault, the perpetrators fled in the direction of the Rhine. The senior soon realized his wristwatch was missing. Lightly injured, he went to the Buchholz police station later that day to file a report.
The Criminal Investigation Division 13 has launched an investigation and is appealing for witnesses who may have seen the robbery or can provide information about the suspects. A neighbor reported that one of the men was wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt, while his accomplice was dressed in dark clothing. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 0203 2800.
