Go Asia Recalls Sushi Rice in Germany Over Mineral Oil Concerns

Berlin (dpa) — Supermarket chain Go Asia has issued a recall for its sushi rice after tests revealed excessive levels of mineral oil components. The affected product is the 1-kilogram package of Shinode Original Premium Sushi Rice by Sun Clad, with a best-before date of April 4, 2027, according to a report by the food safety portal lebensmittelwarnung.de.

The rice was sold in all German states except Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Brandenburg. Customers can return the product to any Go Asia store for a full refund.
