Seesen: Serious Traffic Accident on B 248 Involving Motorcyclist and Fleeing Driver
Hit-and-run crash on B 248 leaves motorcyclist critically injured
On Saturday at around 4:50 p.m., a severe collision occurred on the B 248 between Seesen and Hahausen. A 59-year-old motorcyclist from Salzgitter was traveling toward Hahausen when a white Audi R8 suddenly braked without apparent reason. The motorcyclist was unable to react in time, lost control, and slid into oncoming traffic.
He then collided head-on with a Ford Fiesta driven by a 60-year-old woman from Schwanebeck. The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries, while the Ford's driver suffered minor injuries. Both were taken by ambulance to nearby hospitals, according to a police statement.
Hit-and-Run After Crash
The white Audi R8, believed to have caused the accident, fled the scene. Witnesses described the vehicle as a sports car with red dealer plates, occupied by two young men. The Audi is reported to have driven off toward Seesen after the collision. Seesen police are appealing for any information about the car or its occupants.
