A correspondent from the Khabarovsk Krai Today news agency visited one of the venues hosting the Dictation of Victory—Youth Leisure Center.

Over 100 young people gathered at the center, including members of the Yunarmiya (Youth Army), cadets, students, and others who hold dear the memory of the tragic and heroic chapters of our nation's history.

"This is my second time taking the Dictation of Victory. I see it as a tribute to the heroism of the Soviet people—our ancestors, grandmothers, and great-grandmothers—who gave their lives for peace and freedom," shared Anna, a Yunarmiya member.

As a heartfelt gesture of gratitude to veterans of the Great Patriotic War, many participants wore St. George's ribbons. Seeing these ribbons, one cannot help but realize: the memory of the heroes will live forever, as the descendants of the victors honorably uphold this watch of remembrance.

The dictation consists of 25 questions testing knowledge of wartime literature, authors, cities, events, and films. It also includes several region-specific questions—such as the contributions of Far Eastern residents to the Victory and the formation of military units in the Far East. This allowed participants to learn more about their local history and understand the role their fellow countrymen played in the common struggle.

"There is no shame in not knowing every fact about the war. The shame lies in not wanting to know them. That is why the main goal of this campaign is not so much to test knowledge as to spark an interest in history, preserve the memory of our ancestors' heroism, and foster a sense of pride in our country," emphasized Yekaterina Fyodorova, a representative of the Khabarovsk regional branch of the Volunteers of Victory movement. "Young people understand this, which is why more and more of them join this educational initiative each year."

A total of 102 venues were opened across Khabarovsk Krai for participants to take the Dictation of Victory.

Regardless of the outcome, the Dictation of Victory will undoubtedly inspire participants to learn more about the most devastating war in human history and honor the memory of its heroes. The project is implemented with the support of the United Russia party.
