Krasnodar Krai launches bold 2026 plan to boost jobs and workers' rights
The Krasnodar Krai government has stepped up efforts to boost employment and protect workers' rights. A recent meeting led by Deputy Governor Yelena Vorobyova highlighted progress in job placements, training programmes, and upcoming initiatives for 2026. In 2024, over 80,000 people used the region's employment centres, with more than 60,000 securing jobs. The following year saw further growth: over 37,000 minors found work, while the regional programme Sодействие занятости населения (Assistance to Employment) placed 63,000 people in jobs. This initiative, running until 2028, aligns workforce training with business needs under a presidential directive.
The tripartite commission, chaired by Vorobyova, also set new goals for 2026. One key target is to employ 45,000 young people during the summer break. The group further aims to enforce safe working conditions, uphold labour rights, and prevent wage delays. To support these efforts, a job fair will take place on April 17. The event is open to all residents, including students, parents on parental leave, and those looking to switch careers.
The region's employment drive has already connected thousands with jobs and training. With expanded programmes and upcoming events, officials expect further growth in 2026. The commission continues to monitor working conditions and wage compliance as part of its broader labour strategy.
