Man violently robbed of e-scooter in Berlin's Gropiusstadt attack
A man filed a police report yesterday after his e-scooter was allegedly stolen from him in Gropiusstadt the previous evening. He stated that he had been riding the vehicle along Fritz-Erler-Allee shortly after 6 p.m. when, during a brief stop, he felt a blow to the back of his head and then collapsed. He also reported briefly losing consciousness. Upon regaining his senses, he noticed that the scooter was gone.
The man then went to his girlfriend's nearby apartment and called both the police and emergency services. He was visibly shaken by the incident. Paramedics treated a head laceration at the scene before taking the 48-year-old to a hospital for further medical care.
The case has been taken over by a specialized unit of Police Directorate 4 (West).
