Seesen: Body Found in Bornhausen Pond on Easter Monday
Mystery Solved: Body Found Near Bornhausen Pond Identified as Missing Man
A passerby made a grim discovery in Bornhausen on Easter Monday, finding a lifeless body near a pond. Authorities have now identified the deceased.
The victim is a 58-year-old man from Seesen, the Braunschweig Public Prosecutor's Office confirmed in response to a query from regionalHeute.de.
Foul Play Ruled Out
Due to the advanced state of decomposition, an autopsy was unable to definitively determine the cause of death. However, authorities have ruled out third-party involvement. Given the circumstances in which the body was found, suicide by drowning is considered the most likely scenario, according to Chief Public Prosecutor and spokesperson Christian Wolters.
