Police hunt two women after bold Bielefeld home break-in attempt
When a Bielefeld resident returned to his apartment in a multi-story end-of-terrace house at around 1:30 p.m., he found two women standing at his open front door. As he approached, they quickly shut the door and fled the building.
The pair ran past a neighbor and got into a small car parked near a supermarket on Delgenkamp Street before driving away.
The apartment door showed signs of forced entry. Inside, several cabinets had been opened and ransacked. Investigators are now determining whether the women took any valuables.
The resident and the neighbor described the suspects as slim, roughly 24 to 26 years old, and between 5'5" and 5'7" tall. Both had long or shoulder-length black hair and were dressed in black leggings and black tops.
Their getaway vehicle was a black compact car with purple advertising decals.
Anyone with information about the duo is asked to contact Criminal Investigation Division 13 at 0521/545-0.
