Spandau shooting leaves one man unharmed after balcony dispute turns violent

Police were alerted to reports of gunfire in Spandau yesterday evening. According to preliminary investigations, a verbal altercation broke out at around 6:30 p.m. on Metzer Straße between a 40-year-old man standing on the balcony of his apartment and three individuals on the sidewalk in front of the multi-unit building. During the confrontation, one man from the group drew a firearm and fired multiple live rounds toward the balcony. The 40-year-old retreated into his apartment and was unharmed. The group fled the scene in an unknown direction before officers arrived.
Ongoing investigations are focusing on a named 28-year-old suspect and are being led by a specialized unit under Directorate 2 (West).
