Plume Design acquires Sweepr Technologies in strategic tech deal
Sweepr Technologies has been acquired by Plume Design in a deal announced today. The Irish tech firm received legal advice from William Fry throughout the process. Plume Design has stated it will continue Sweepr’s growth plans moving forward. William Fry led the legal work for Sweepr, with Máire O’Neill at the helm of the team. Partners Carol Eager and Colin Bolger supported her, alongside associates Aaron Kelly, James Cotter, and Luke Kavanagh. The firm worked closely with CKS Corporate Finance to finalise the transaction.
Sweepr’s leadership, including Alan Colman and Jim Hannon, oversaw the company’s side of the deal. The business had previously secured investment from TELUS, Frontline, Amazon Alexa Fund, Molten, and Enterprise Ireland. Plume Design, the acquiring company, has confirmed it will build on Sweepr’s existing momentum. No further financial details of the acquisition were disclosed.
The sale marks a new phase for Sweepr Technologies under Plume Design’s ownership. William Fry’s team completed the legal process, while Sweepr’s investors and leadership supported the transition. The deal officially closed today.
