Police are appealing for witnesses after a hit-and-run incident on Thursday afternoon (March 26, 2026), in which an unidentified truck driver allegedly caused damage in Steiermärker Straße before fleeing the scene without stopping. A 64-year-old woman was driving her black Mercedes GLA in the left lane toward Weilimdorf when, shortly after 3:00 p.m., she changed lanes to the right near the tunnel entrance. As she did so, her vehicle sideswiped the truck, resulting in several hundred euros' worth of damage. The unknown driver continued toward Weilimdorf without stopping to address the collision.
According to the 64-year-old, the truck was large, white, and registered in Leonberg. Witnesses are urged to come forward.
