Teen stabbing in Schwerte leaves 17-year-old injured after supermarket dispute
Violent Altercation in Schwerte-Ergste Leaves Teen Injured
On Thursday evening (March 26, 2026), at around 7:15 p.m., a dispute broke out near a supermarket on Letmather Straße in Schwerte-Ergste.
During the altercation, a 15-year-old Syrian resident of Schwerte pulled out a knife and stabbed multiple times toward a 17-year-old Syrian, also from Schwerte. The 17-year-old sustained minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to a hospital for outpatient treatment.
The 15-year-old was provisionally arrested and taken into custody. After questioning, he was released.
The knife was confiscated by authorities.
Police have filed a criminal complaint for dangerous bodily harm.
