Three separate fires broke out across the Goslar district over the weekend. The incidents caused injuries, property damage, and required emergency responses from local firefighters. Authorities are now assessing the aftermath of each event. The first fire started on the balcony of an apartment building in Seesen. Flames damaged part of the structure, leading to an estimated €20,000 in losses. Firefighters quickly contained the blaze before it spread further.
In Münchehof, a compost heap ignited, with flames reaching a nearby hedge. Crews arrived promptly and extinguished the fire before it caused major harm.
Meanwhile, in Langelsheim/Lautenthal, a man suffered severe burns while trying to put out a grill-related fire. Emergency services treated him at the scene before taking him to hospital.
Unrelated to the fires, a 21-year-old driver crashed in Goslar after drinking alcohol. The collision resulted in around €30,000 in vehicle and property damage. Police have launched an investigation into the incident. The weekend’s events left one person injured and caused significant financial losses.
