Evergreen Escapes appoints new CEO to drive luxury lodge expansion

Evergreen Escapes has named Geoff Cowley as its new CEO. The move signals the company’s push to expand its luxury lodge parks across the UK. Cowley brings years of experience, having previously led Awaze UK and spent a decade at Hoseasons’ parent firm. Cowley’s appointment follows Evergreen Escapes’ acquisition of The Manor and Ashbury Resorts in Okehampton, Devon, back in September 2021. The company now plans major upgrades to modernise the accommodation and leisure facilities at both sites.

The new CEO expressed enthusiasm for his role, highlighting his eagerness to drive the business’s growth strategy. Evergreen Escapes aims to own and operate between 15 to 20 high-end leisure and residential lodge parks in the UK over the next five years. Stephen Twiss, the group’s executive chairman, praised Cowley’s leadership record as ideal for the company’s ambitions. The existing leadership team—Luke Hansford, Anna Baker, and John Ryan—already brings deep expertise in domestic travel, further supporting the expansion plans.

With Cowley at the helm, Evergreen Escapes is set to accelerate its UK growth. The company will focus on developing luxury lodge parks while upgrading its current sites. This leadership change reinforces its commitment to long-term expansion in the leisure sector.
